Success from Home
Ellen Bradley Ganus
When Ellen Bradley Ganus discovered Isagenix five years ago, she received a gift—although she didn't recognize it at the time. ‘In 2002, Ellen gave birth to her son Tyler, and to celebrate the event, Ellen's friend Renee Cisco presented her with a unique gift, Instead of the usual tiny clothes, booties and receiving blankets, her friend ‘enrolled her as an Isagenix independent associate. “Renee said Isagenix would help set the family financially free and change how we think about health and wellness,” Ellen says.
Acting Out
Ellen and her husband Paul, who live in Los Angeles, had spent their entire lives in the entertainment industry as an actress and an actor. Since she considered herself successful already, Ellen felt a little offended at first and wondered if her friend believed that she and Paul wouldn't be able to raise their family on their current salaries. "I didn't understand then," Ellen says. "But Renee understood residual income in a way that I did not. And she believed in Isagenix-its products and the company itself."
In time, however, Ellen would come to understand the totality of the Isagenix oppor
tunity. Six months after her friend enrolled her as an Isagenix associ ate, Ellen attended a meeting led by well-known author John Gray, Ph.D., who wrote the best selling book Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus and who also has established a successful homebased business through Isagenix. Ellen brought along 10 friends, including her husband-all part of the Hollywood community. These same 10 people would become her first Isagenix team members.
"All 10 peo ple went on the Isagenix products and were elated by the results," Ellen says. "My husband and I lost weight, but mostly, everybody was just feeling great, so I decided to help more people."
Ellen couldn't deny the benefits people experienced using Isagenix products and the value of what she had to share. "Everybody would show up at my door asking for more of the 'happy shake-the Isagenix IsaLean Shake," she says. "I was just happy to help people."
Helpful by Nature
Helping others came naturally to Ellen because she grew up in a family of medical doctors. "From a young age I've been interested in studying the mind-body connection," she says. "I believe in miracles and that we can help ourselves. Through Isagenix, I discovered something that resonated with my personal philosophy of natural health and putting people in charge of their own well-being."

Meanwhile, Ellen's Isagenix home-based business was quickly building, and she soon started to become "a student of the industry" by learning more about network marketing. She also traveled to Isagenix's corporate headquarters and met the company's coSanders Jim and Kathy Coover.
About one year later, Ellen says she became comfortable with sacrificing entertainment opportunities in order to set her family financially free. "i can come back to the entertainment business with the means to have more creative freedom and control to make my own projects that are meaningful to me," she says. "What a
reat way to meld my artistic vision and my business.
By fall 2003, Ellen's Isagenix homebased business was doing well enough that she won a company-paid cruise. Good things were happening to the Ganuses. Ellen found a wonderful mentor in Kathy Coover. Life was good-until it wasn't.
Residual Income to the Rescue
In 2004, Ellen had to put everything on hold for almost a year when ber son Tyler developed a life-threatening bone marrow disease. "Thank goodness I had already established a residual income because that was the only income we had to pay our bills," she says. "There were no auditions for any body and no other income. Staying at the children's hospital intensive care unit for a year is very expensive, as is chemotherapy
Ellen recalls how her Isagenix friends sup. ported her and her family during this time. "They were the first in line to give blood for Tyler's transfusions," she says. "They also started foundations to raise money for our expenses, and they gave us so much love. I got to see the heart and soul of the company.
